It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown!

Yes I might just be smuggling a pumpkin under that orange shirt. Perhaps I am just preparing for Halloween early.

38 weeks down, 2 to go! Funny how when there was 3 weeks left I felt like I would be pregnant forever and wanted the baby out asap. Now that it's down to 2 weeks, it feels infinitely closer and an induction next week sounds so soon should we choose to do that. But I feel like these next 2 weeks will be like the 2 weeks you are waiting to take the first pregnancy test in the beginning, everything is babies all the time and your mind can think of nothing else and will you ever get to have a baby?! that's when 2 weeks feels like a long time, the anticipation is killer! But the fact that it is September next week and the last 2 days of nice cloudy rainy weather, makes it seem like he will be here sooner rather then later. Or at least it makes the waiting a little more bearable. Had our dr appointment on Wednesday, we are at 1 cm dilated (hey every little bit counts right!) and at a -1 station. ( I did not really know what that meant, so I looked it up, basically it is how much he has dropped into the pelvis, 0 means his head is at the cervix, positive numbers mean baby is moving down the birth canal) Feels like he has dropped some but not sure it really looks like it from the pictures. And in case you wanted me to ruin your future breakfast of cheerios or bagels, this picture (from whattoexpect.com) pretty much gives you a visual of how being dilated compares to food items (isn't that what you have always wanted haha yuck. Of course they have liked to compare baby to different size fruits and vegetables this whole time, I believe he is a watermelon right now, soon to be a real pumpkin) Photobucket
Ouch. Long way to go!

I met with the pediatrician today, she was really nice and pretty much did all the talking which was good since I wasn't sure what to ask but I learned a lot and I'm pretty sure I will be there often haha. Yesterday I watched The Back Up Plan with Jennifer Lopez, just an ok movie, but parts of it were funny considering I am now pregnant and can relate to it, the best was a scene where her boyfriend is talking to another dad about "the pillow" you know the giant body pillow that is the only comfortable way to sleep! The dad let's the boyfriend know, "The pillow is a bitch. It’s totally replacing you". Can't you see Dominic saying the same thing haha. Although I would beg to differ that the pillow is in fact what I would call the number 1 definite requirement for when you are pregnant, that is if you ever want to sleep again!
