By now every part of my body except for maybe my elbows is fatter, swollen, achy, hot and stretched to the max. And even though I don't think I look any lower in the picture compared to the last few weeks, I feel like he has moved lower because I get frequent headbutts straight to the bladder and my lungs feel like it is finally easier to breathe. Tomorrow's appointment I get tested for Group B strep, if I am positive then we get antibiotics at labor for baby, if not then well nothing changes and we are bueno. I believe she checks to see if there is any progress with dilation too, I am hoping there is cuz that would be nice to be dilated and not have felt a thing haha but I am assuming there is nothing going on yet. I'm not sure if I have had any contractions, sometimes I feel crampy but nothing I would assume to be doing anything productive. I guess we will find out for sure tomorrow. Baby for sure has to stay inside until after Sunday because that is the day Laura is getting induced and I think she would kill me if Logan came first haha. I am hoping to not fall into my mom's footsteps and be 2 weeks late, then get induced and have nothing happen for 3 days. Be kind to me Logan, be kind!
Sometimes it seems like there is a lot to do before baby gets here and sometimes it feels like we have enough figured out that we will be ready when it is time and to not worry about the rest of the stuff we don't have or haven't done yet. We did accomplish making a new mattress for the cradle my papa (my dad's dad) made when I was a baby. We bought some high density foam from JoAnn's to fit in as the mattress (which by the way is insanely expensive for just being foam but we happened to be there when it was half off, hurray) and then luckily bassinet size sheets fit it, so it is all ready now! I think it will go in our room once baby gets here.
I finally contacted the pediatrician we were referred to by a friend at my work and I have a 'meet and great' with her on the 25th. I have a list of questions they say to ask but really I'd be happy with them just taking our insurance and being able to check him out at the hospital which they already told me on the phone they do, so not sure what all I should be saying at this meet and great as I am not highly opinionated on any major subject that would cause me to not want to go to them, oh well it will be good to check it off my to do list!
Tonight we are going to Nimbus (yes I might just be drooling at the thought of beer) with Dominic's work friends for dinner and a baby shower for us and another couple due in October. I am sure I will be the DD again as I feel this has become my part time job while pregnant haha. It should be fun!
Then this weekend I think we are going to try and buy whatever is left on our registry that we need right away (babiesRus gives you a completion coupon for 15% off your registry and Target gives one for 10% off remaining items) so then we should be set for sure! I am hoping to find out how big Logan is at next weeks appointment because I think they do an ultrasound to check, that way I will know if he can even fit into some of his super small clothes! Please don't be a giant baby!
