I confess, I just finished off the jar of applesauce that for the past week or so has been so extremely tasty. It was satisfying. And if we pretend to just not notice the amount of sugar indicated, then we will call it a healthy choice for an afternoon snack. And as I was sitting here finishing off said applesauce jar, thunder is coming from seemingly nowhere and Maya must feel the need to tell it to go away as she is talking back to it. Which means the other ferocious smack talking dog...LeeLu, is of course hiding under our bed. She probably won't come out until she hears Dominic come home. She acts like such a meanie but she really is a big baby! (As I write this, I look outside to see a sudden downpour and our trees looking like they will fly away...where did this all come from?!) No complaints though, I went out on the back porch with Maya the brave and did a little come out baby dance, I figure that with the fact it is finally raining and a full moon tonight, that's a triple whammy right ;)
So yesterday I was highly motivated and did a lot of random stuff that was left to prepare for baby/occupy my time. Today, nothing, nada. There are things I was thinking about doing, so far the only thing accomplished was a load of laundry with a side of lifetime movie to amuse me. Should I be going to the grocery store, getting my haircut, cleaning the house, taking a shower, finishing my current scrapbook, yes, yes I should. Instead the most productive I can get for the moment is to pretend the laundry is folding itself, listen to my new playlist I made for the future hospital stay and try to decide if I am ever going to make all these recipes I am looking up to cook and freeze so we will have some easy dinner options after baby comes. My main problem at the moment while searching for freezable recipes is the word Casserole. Not a fan of the word or the many variations of the dish. Not sure why but I can't really name a casserole that I enjoy. The other problem is finding one that Dominic and I would both eat...which for me means no meat involved or mushrooms (that seems to be in a lot of them, ew) and for Dominic not a large amount of vegetables, so that leaves us with...peanut butter and jelly sandwiches ;) Eh at least there is a chinese food restaurant in our backyard. That's probably faster then thawing and reheating a meal. Too bad Lucky Wishbone is the other backyard choice, I really wish it was an Einstein's Bagel instead. Who do I need to talk to to get that to happen?
Ok that is the end of my mindless rambling for today. Cheers.
That's funny - Nick hates the word casserole too. He's never met a casserole he liked. I think its because he has to eat his food separately - no mixing! And mixed is exactly what casseroles are :)
