Growth Spurt and a little squirt

Logan is 6 weeks and we don't go back to the pediatrician until Nov. 15th for his 2 month appointment, so I am not sure what his current weight and length is but he is definitely growing! He has been eating more and sleeping more AND fitting into more of his cute clothes, I just figured this out yesterday that some of his 3 month old onesies are fitting now (not the pants though!) and he is growing out of some of his Newborn clothes. Still in Newborn diapers though, we tried out the size ones and they seems so big still! I for sure can feel how he weighs more as my arms are getting more sore from carrying him and the longer I carry his car seat around the worse my back hurts haha. He will make Dom and I have some nice muscles!

Went to my 6 week postpartum check up today and was cleared to work out (thank God, I can't wait to run again, although where is the time for that? 13 more pounds to lose!) and "do anything not illegal" in the sex department. Like there is time and energy for that ha! Logan did ok at the appointment but there is always a long wait and he was asleep for about 10 minutes of the 1 hour and 15 minutes we were there. The rest of the time he was trying to sleep but just was not happy in his car seat so I had to try and entertain him once I got into the exam room where I was half naked and using one hand to hold onto my little cover and the other to keep trying the pacifier and rocking the carseat hoping he would go back to sleep. No wonder people bring their significant others to these appointments, they are just there to watch the baby! He did alright though considering he missed his 2-3 hour midday nap.

So last night I jinxed myself when I said how good he was doing and what a nice schedule we were getting on. He just didn't want to fall asleep and was somewhat gassy again, although surprisingly once I took off his socks (which he normally doesn't sleep in) he calmed down some leading me to believe he got the "I hate socks" trait from me ;) Well he tried sleeping off and on after he woke up around 5:30 and around 9am before he was going to eat again I went into change him, right as I put on the new diaper I hear the explosion, and who knew that sound would make me so happy haha. yay Logan pooped, no wonder you were so upset earlier you were just backed up. So I give him a few minutes making sure that is all of it and then change him into his 3rd diaper in 5 minutes. I take it off and as I am reaching for a wipe before I put the new diaper on, I was shocked to hear and see crap literally flying through the air. That's right, I experienced my first projectile poop. It went from the changing table all over the floor and onto the wall next to the door into his room...that's pretty far! He was very happy and relieved afterwards, meanwhile I screamed and grabbed the new diaper right away to cover any backsplash that might be coming next. At this point its like ahhh what do I do first?! So I finish diapering him and put him in his crib while I proceed to clean the changing table and the wall then work on the carpet. He was not too happy at how long this was taking because he was hungry and did not feel like waiting. So after a brave attempt to clean the poo off the wall, carpet and changing table we survived our first projectile poo and hopefully next time I will be more prepared!
