Where's the BlueBell?

This is not the kind of news I had hoped would come after our Doctors appointment. It's not 'official' yet (pending on blood work etc) but this just wasn't meant to be I guess. According to the doctor, it went something like, it started out as a pregnancy it just didn't turn into anything we aren't seeing what we are supposed to be seeing at this time frame on the ultrasound machine. It's like my body thinks it is still pregnant but sometime between then and now it stopped being physically pregnant I guess. So we are just waiting for the inevitable.
More waiting, we are learning a lot of patience! We are obviously distraught and upset but we also knew that this was always a possibility. Who knew getting pregnant was such a long not so easy process?! According to my side of the family history of pregnancy, I was just next in line. I guess my mom, aunt, and granny went through the exact same thing first time around (first trimester- no morning sickness then miscarriage). The good thing is that the first was the only time it happened to all of them and then the second time around everything worked wonderfully and they were all delighted to be throwing up for the first 3 months ;) So after talking to my mom, I feel better about this for the future, but for now...I guess we just don't know what to say or do, we just wait and when it is all over with we can try again. Hopefully in a timely fashion ;)
So it sucks to be the bearer of this craptastic news and sorry I can't bear to tell you all in person (if we have to say it out loud one more time, my eyes will never go back to normal again) but we remain optimistic and appreciate our friends and family's continuous support. You don't have to say anything, what is there to say, just say a prayer for us and our continuing effort! And if you want to come over and eat Blue Bell ice cream with us for dinner again, I have some peanut butter and chocolate syrup to go with it ;)

my blood work today went well, I didn't pass out and I thought filling up 3 vials in what felt like mere seconds was a record for me. Plus I actually slept afterwards at home which seemed impossible last night. I go for more blood work Tuesday and then another doctors appointment Thursday, not sure what will happen at that appointment, but good news is the doctor is really nice and she is a hugger haha. Then after that who knows?

I'll keep the blog going with whatever is happening in our lives and hopefully soon we will have better news! Making the baby is the fun part right ;)

Everything happens for a reason. I can't help but believe that.
