Junk food and movies are therapy right?!

So I basically took the weekend off, screw responsibilities! Shower, what's that? I can't smell too bad...yet. (i'd like to say as a side note deodorant and the brushing of teeth were performed) Getting out of pajamas, too cozy! Getting of the couch?! Only if I want to go to the bed! Cleaning,cooking,laundry que paso? I don't think so, it can wait till my magical maid fairy comes with her magic wand. Eat healthy meals, or anything at all in a timely fashion...but somebody left this gallon of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream in our freezer and somebody else left a bag full of snickers ice cream bars...I think it is a sign.

Saturday went as follows:
5:30 yes that's right 5:30 we woke up after quite the sleepless painful night to go stand in line to get my blood drawn, ah nothing like being poked with a needle before breakfast. Other people complaining about the number of people in line at least gave us a chuckle, we were number 5 yay for predicting good timing.
7:00-9:00 come back home, put PJs back on, Krystal retreats to bed to sleep more successfully this time for a wonderous two or so hours.
9:00-12:00 Erick comes over to go with Dom to a gun safety and shooting lesson that my dad gave them for birthday/graduation/don't do anything stupid with your new guns I bought you present. They come back and forth between the gun shop and house waiting for someone to show up who doesn't make it until 12, we will grab some lunch after their lesson. Krystal moved from bed to couch and turned on a rerun of mythbusters and watched cars blow up, ah nothing like total destruction to numb the mind.
12:30 Krystal wants to go rent movies...but really I am liking my couch too much sooo what's on DVR. Oh look I recorded 102 dalmatians, sure I'll watch that...cruella cruella de vil, if she doesn't scare you no evil thing will! I think I fell asleep for a bit in the middle.
2-3:00 Ok movie is over, Dom's not back yet, let's see what is on tv...oh look an hour special about ice cream! I last about 30 minutes before I actually get off the couch (!) and get the reeses ice cream bar Melanie left in our freezer (thanks mel) and eat my ice cream while watching my ice cream show. This sounds like something the 10 year old me would really enjoy.
3:00 Mom calls, comforting words, I'm not going to cry again, I'm not going to do it! Then I call ashley and ask her to come over and motivate me to get off the couch and rent a movie only to get back on the couch, she will be over after 5. Dad calls, says his bags are packed if I want him to come down he will be here in 8 hours. Thanks dad but we should be ok. I think he really does want to come but I'm not ready for visitors just yet. Even though he shouldn't count as a visitor, he might actually be my magical maid fairy!
3:00-5:30 watch Pretty Woman until Ashley gets here. I know I watched this movie when I was younger and never caught on to her real occupation and all the naughty side bits. It's kind of a weird premise for a movie, what a way to spin a fairy tale. But of course in true fairy tale style they do live happily ever after.
5:30 Ashley comes over, I put clothes on AND get off the couch AND get in my car and drive across the street (literally) We go to blockbuster and get Bride Wars and Yes Man, we need comedies ASAP. I want sour patch kids to go with my healthy diet of ice cream today and so we go to Fry's and grab 2 bags of sour patch kids, 1 bag of swedish fish, 1 container of butter flavored popcorn oil (for my 'Vegan' popcorn popper) frozen spinach artichoke dip for me and vegetable eggrolls for Ashley, this should hold us off till the boys come back and we can eat...lunch...or dinner?
6:00 Back in PJs, back on couch, BUT I did put the food in the oven, look at me a functioning member of my household again for atleast 10 minutes! Bride Wars first. I need to buy this movie, it definitely cheers you up...well maybe till the end but hey we saw that coming. Dom and Erick arrive back home and watch the movie with us, no one wants dinner yet, considering the amount of junk we just consumed. But everyone wants popcorn, who doesn't love popcorn?
8:00 Everyone is squeezed on our couch and loveseat, no one wants dinner, screw dinner, put in Yes Man. Funny stuff, it's hard to go wrong with Jim Carey when all you want to do is laugh.
10:30 Time for bed, I actually feel tired even though I laid on the couch ALL day. Put in an episode of Futurama as is customary for every night I want to fall asleep. I like the noise.

That puts my Saturday count at 3 TV shows and 4 movies. And I slept very well this time, so Saturday was a winner.

Sunday was a bit back to normal.
8:00 go to church
9:00 go to KGs cafe for a breakfast burrito, dom gets one with chorizo which puts a big smile on his face! (everyone told us they have good breakfast there, they were right and it was cheap too)
9:45 we need to leave restaurant ASAP, the chorizo is back with a vengeance, drive it like you stole it and get home!
9:50 (see I did drive fast!) krystal is back on couch, we are supposed to go do something today Dom says, but first I need to reunite with my couch mate, he is making me sleepy, can't I just go back to sleep first!?
10:30 Dom insists we go somewhere, where? anywhere! Ok we go to the mall and walksy around, which we realize doesn't really open till 12 so we retreat to borders and I start ready Buy this, Not that the supermarket survival guide (which is on my amazon wish list) it says a Twix is the worst candy bar you can have, it's saturated fat content is equivalent to...11 strips of bacon! Ya 11 strips of bacon, imagine that next time you want to eat a twix, blah. It's an intriguing book which I have wanted but never actually looked at, it's $20 at borders, hrm, I thought it was cheaper on amazon I will look when I get home. I think at the mall all we bought were 2 cookies (staying on our healthy intake of junk food!) and a little present for a friend, it's so cute!
12:30-2 leave the mall even though it just opened, we aren't really mall people, but hey we are out of the house! We go to bookmans and I buy two movies from my expansive list of movies I need to own. And I somehow convince Dom to go to Beyond Bread with me and let me get a sandwich, cuz we know I am not making any food at home, I have given that up temporarily. I order my Annie's addiction and Dom gets his Gino's Grinder which turns out to be not what he expected. We take them home.
2:30 Eat sandwiches while watching Eagle Eye. I have given my couch to Dom and I take the loveseat, can't leave any of my living room furniture out, I love them all equally ;) I fall asleep in some part of this movie too.
4:00 movie is over. Dom asks for help with figuring out meals for his camping trip of 11 guys for Wills bachelor party. I can do that, I love making lists! this ends up taking forever and 4 lists later Dom realizes he maybe should plan in advance a little more next time. Or he is just saying that because I start freaking out for him that all this crap and people are not going to fit in our car.
6:00 eat the rest of my sandwich which is soooo yummy (and probably the healthiest thing I have eaten since Friday morning) watch a tiny bit of the basketball game Dom is intently going to be staring at for the next zillion hours then go to my oh so comfy bed and watch Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian till bedtime. It's much more of a grown up movie then the first one I think, a lot of battles, but it was good. now I have to read the book since I own it and have been saying that for a year or so. Maya and LeeLu were laying with me, one at my head one at my feet and every once in awhile the kitty would come too, they love our bed just as much as I do!
10:00 time for bed, I did so much today! And I didn't cry at all! Doing better! Turn on my futurama episode and gooooodnight.

Sundays movie count: only 2!! and one tv show!

I'm slowly going back to normal life and responsibilities. Starting with this morning. Eva is coming over to scrapbook at 10:30, hurray for motivation to clean up a little. And I already had a normal breakfast of cereal and OJ. go me.

It would be so easy to say no to friends and outings, even though it crosses my mind, oh how my couch needs me, I'm glad we are saying yes to things and getting back to normal. The weekend off was nice and was what we needed but I couldn't do that forever. So thanks to everyone that has been there even if you don't say anything at all, just having a friend around is enough.
