We started off the month with a camping trip to Mt. Graham with Nick, Brenda and Aurora. There were fire restrictions so we had to camp at an established campsite, but that ended up being just fine since we were the only ones there all weekend, woohoo! The babies had fun playing in the dirt, with rocks, sticks, climbing, exploring, and learning about fire (haha). It was nice and relaxing and we had great weather, 65 during the day in June= amazing! We only had one night of torture when Logan decided he was wide awake at 9pm when we came in the tent to go to sleep and he proceeded to stay awake through all our attempts to put him back to sleep (even a trip to the car!) until about 2am. Otherwise, the trip was great! We will definitely go camping there again!

the camping set up!
After camping we had a few days at home then we flew to Denver and stayed with Jenny and Bo downtown. There was a heat wave the weekend we were there and spent a hot day walking around the Denver zoo, which was fun, we are used to the heat right ;) Logan slept through most of the zoo (he seems to do that these days when we go on vacation haha) but he did get to enjoy some of it! We had a lot of fun hanging out with Jenny and Bo, we miss them! After 2 days in Denver we drove to Estes Park to stay in a cabin for the week. It was amazingly beautiful there and we had a great time. We spent most the days hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park. We rented a backpack carrier for Logan after the first day of hiking and good thing we did because we went on longer hikes the next 2 days and Logan ended up falling asleep in the carrier on the way back from the hikes. He loved being outside all the time and hiking with a stick like daddy. We saw a lot of wildlife and I think Logan's favorite might have been all the chipmunks we saw haha. We saw a lot of elk around town and while hiking. We spotted a few owls in their nests, big horn sheep and even a marmot. Dom kept saying he wanted to see a bear and I'm glad we didn't! We spent some time sightseeing around town at the haunted Stanley Hotel (the inspiration for The Shining) and we rode bikes around Lake Estes also. My cousin Kacy came up one night and spent some time with us too which was nice because we don't get to see each other that often! We also met up with Dom's cousin Joy, her husband Jeff and their little girls Ella and Riley which Logan will not stop talking about. They played at the park after we had dinner and Logan had fun chasing them around. Dom and I said this was our favorite vacation so far. Colorado is where we are meant to be and in time hopefully we will live there. Until then we will have to settle for vacationing there which was pretty awesome!
An awake moment at the zoo
Time for some ice cream!
Our generous hosts for the weekend, Logan still talks about Jenny and Bo all the time!
Outside our cabin in Estes Park, we called it "Logan's rock" since he always wanted to sit on it and watch the water

When we got back from Colorado, we came home to Father's day weekend which also happened to fall on our 6th Anniversary this year. We were very unprepared for both events as we had already had a busy June, so we decided to postpone our anniversary celebration until later. The next weekend was the momentous occasion of getting Dom's giant box of action figures from college...yes college, out of the attic for Logan to play with. It is amazing how many action figures are in there, and Logan was in heaven. We let him pick 5 or so and put the rest back for a rainy day (that phrase has all new meaning when you have a kid haha). He has a thing for action figures lately, especially if they have buttons to press! These don't but he still loves them!
Searching for the perfect toy!
this was the morning after we pulled out the action figures and once he woke up he immediately went to get them from his room to play (oh right the black eye...he hit himself with his toy guitar...too much rock and roll I guess!)
Spiderman vs. Hulk!
Showing off Wolverine...aka Logan :) (he has the mad scientist look going on haha)
We spent the weekend in town (!) and bought fancy new clothes for all of us for our trip to Albuquerque to go to Dominic's cousin Stephen's wedding. Logan also got his first haircut. (Besides some badly trimmed attempts by me at home haha). We took him to a sports haircut place where they had a car to sit in and he got to watch space jam while he was getting his haircut. We decided it was time when after hiking in Colorado he was called a girl many times by other hikers haha. So goodbye mullet and hello little grown up boy!
Before- hello long hair!
Logan's nice hair cut entertainment set up
being such a good boy!
After, nice haircuts boys!
We drove to Albuquerque the 29th and Logan did ok in the car, we decided he needs something new each time we take a road trip from now on because by the last hour and a half or so of our drive he was saying "different toy" over and over again since he was over everything we had brought from home. We stayed with Auntie Dre and had fun seeing her and her family over the weekend. Amanda, Candi and Charles also were in town for the wedding so we had fun spending time with lots of Dom's family. Friday night we spent some time at Dre's nana and tata's house with them and Lauren, Logan liked all the attention...and the cookies! Then we went to a BBQ at Dom's aunt Christella's house and Logan had fun playing in the bounce house for the first time. Saturday before the wedding, Amanda, Dom and I took Logan to Explora, a math and science museum. It was a lot of fun, for us all! Then we were at wedding festivities the rest of the day. Logan did well and had a lot of fun at the reception, but we took him home early (well at his bed time!) and Andrea watched him at her house while we stayed and enjoyed the party. The next morning we were able to meet Dre's parents and sister for brunch at Tanoan, Logan enjoyed getting to ride in the golf carts with Dre and we love spending time with the Roussel's, it was a good way to end the weekend. The drive home was much easier with Logan since we went to Target before we left and bought new toys and a Curious George DVD (which he loved). It's always fun to go to Albuquerque and see our friends and family, can't wait to go back in October for the balloon fiesta!

And THAT was our June. Wow, that was a lot in one month and as fun as it all was, I will be glad to spend some time at home in July (minus the incredibly hot weather of course!). We have no trips planned until September, but who knows if we will go that long without leaving again haha. There's always time for a weekend road trip right ;)
