200

200.  This is my 200th post...I've been debating for awhile what my 200th post should be about. So much has changed since we decided we were ready for kids, oh so long ago in the later part of 2008.  This blog was started in 2009 for one baby and ended up being about another.  You have witnessed the bumpy road of trying to get pregnant, miscarriage, endless waiting, pregnancy, birth and the adventures of having a baby and now, toddler.  I am glad I started this blog as it has given me a place to share feelings, stories, pictures... memories.  It has taken you on our journey to be parents and helped you grow up with Logan.  Lately, it has been harder to keep up with the blog just like it's getting harder to keep up with our almost 2 year old!  But here it is, hanging in there, so for post number 200 you get a few of the many reasons that I LOVE Logan and the little man he is turning into... (feel free to add your own as well!)

*He will randomly cheer you on while you are doing mundane activities, "go mommy!"
*When driving he points out every garbage truck, motorcycle, bus, car, truck and bicycle he sees
*He is always ready to read a book with you, I love his love for books!
*He is not afraid to get messy
*If he sees anything resembling a long pole, he uses it as a microphone, puts his mouth on it and sings "lalalalalalaaaaa"
*He likes "Buzz and Wooey" (Buzz and Woody) as much as I do
*Randomly he will say "Hi" to people when he is in the cart at the store and won't stop until they acknowledge him.  Not everyone is privileged to receive his greetings, I'm not sure how he picks his victims ;)
*His cute dance moves
*How he likes to snuggle after sleeping
*His "executive" walk- hands behind the back, mind focused, legs moving assertively
*His excitement to see daddy after work
*When asked what he wants for breakfast/lunch/dinner the usual response is "copcon" (popcorn) or "jelly toast"
*How every blue car we see is "daddy's car"
*When we say prayers with him at night time and he starts to cry as we say the last few words since he knows he is going to bed...then he lays down, we leave and he goes right to sleep ;)
*He tries to sing Happy Birthday and it comes out "happy daddy, happy daddy"
*When he wakes up first thing in the morning he will remind you what he thought about yesterday..."fire alarm", "pee pee wa", "yogurt", "Granny Mo", "cricket wall" were some popular ones.

So here's to you my beautiful baby, you are growing so fast!  I love looking back at how little you were and I love thinking about all the fun that is in our future.  You have given me what I have always wanted, to be a mommy, and I am so blessed with you as my child. I love you, you little monster!

  1. Things I love about little man...
*How much he loves shooting hoops
*The constant talking to the point that it becomes comical
*How predictably he loses his marbles before bedtime
*Talking on the phone with him while I'm at work
*Watching his excitement when he sees Stella
*Having him cheer me on when I'm playing soccer
*Just like Krystal, his excitement when I get home from work
*Seeing him in his Cardinals football jersey, and hearing him say 'Card-nal'
*Watching him use an iPod (seriously, blows my mind)
    *His love for his Grandparents
*Listening to him discipline the cat, 'ppsshhh kitty, silly kitty'

...just a few. I love you little man and look forward to everyday with you and your wonderful Mommy!
