All The Time...

Logan talks ALL. THE. TIME.
seriously.
He never stops.

People used to see him as a baby and comment on either 1. his blue eyes 2. his helmet or 3. how cute he was (duh ;).  Now when someone talks to me about him it's either 1. wow somebody has a lot to say about _____ or 2. Well somebody isn't happy about ____.
So yes, now when we are out and about other people notice how he is either talking non stop about something/everything he sees or that he is screaming and crying and telling me "logan cry"over this thing he can't stop talking about.  It's pretty funny actually.  So many people comment on how much he talks, and my response is always the same...all the time, he talks like this ALL THE TIME!  They say it's cute, he's so smart, what a good vocabulary, wow how old is he? etc etc.  And yes I think all these things too and I know that this is a great phase to be in, jabbering on and on and ooooonnnnnn.  Sometimes its adorable and cute and I love it and other times...ugh haha.

There are some great things that Logan says and I have started to write them down because I know he won't say it this way for long, so here are some of his cute talkity talk moments...

Ov eee= Love you
Chipett= Ketcup
Ahmee= Nemo
Bison= Spiderman
Mo/Motorcycat= Motorcycle
Dog/Maya Bear= Maya (he never says just Maya haha)
Cop corn= Popcorn
Fireshen= Fire Station
Mixet= Mixer (either when we are mixing while baking or if he sees a concrete mixer driving by haha)

You want to hear cuteness, listen to Logan say...
Colorado (a lot of emphasis on the 'doh'!)
Hey Sugar (hey sugar...hey sugar mommy, hey sugar daddy, hey sugar ____)
Buzzzz Lightyeeeeear (it's almost like a song, I hear this a lot!)
Logan Cry (he lets me know everytime he is crying by stating the fact that "Logan cry")
Under briiiidge (he made up his own game about going under a pedestrian bridge we seem to go by a lot so we count to 5 then go under briiiiidge haha)
Closer to moon (when we were hiking in Colorado, we could see the moon out in the daytime and Dom told Logan we were closer to the moon when we went hiking, so now when we ask if he wants to go hiking he says 'closer to moon'?!)

(there are so many more, but these are the ones I can think of for now!)

Among all the cute adorable and sometimes annoying things he says throughout the day, his vocabulary and communication skills are really impressive.  Of course I say this because I am his mom, but from the outside looking in, I think he is one step ahead (which is where he likes to be, he likes to be precocious ;).  He has always seemed to want to communicate from early on which is why I think he did so well with sign language and he picks up words and concepts so fast now, one time is all it takes, crazy.  He has sentences, "daddy blue car, work. make money" is often said in the mornings.  He can tell me what he wants (a blessing and a curse haha) and why he is upset.  He can tell me which color he is using or which one he wants next (he is surprisingly good with colors, yet put on the spot sometimes his go to answer is always Red haha), he knows some shapes (star, circle, triangle), he knows numbers and occasionally puts them in the right order ;)  He knows some letters of his name, when you ask him how to spell his name he says "O G" and sometimes he will add the "N".  Each day I am surprised to hear a new word from him or to see him understand a new concept and be able to tell me about it.  Dom and I often joke that our next child is never going to speak because Logan will be willing and able to talk for them.  It really is a wonderful thing to be able to communicate with him though and he has become a million times easier as a toddler since he can do so!

 Right now he is figuring out emotions and learning how to read faces and understanding what that means.  I bought him a new book based on the "Over the Hedge" movie and thought he would like it because it's all animals and he likes turtles for sure (ask him to sing the turtle song for you!).  Well I gave him the new book while pushing him in the stroller at Kohls for him to look at and after a few pages he starts bawling and saying "turtle cry, turtle cry!", he was on a page with the turtle flying though the air because someone mistook him for the hockey puck, the turtles face was one of surprise and Logan was so distraught over what was happening to the turtle he couldn't stop crying about it, even once I explained and read the book to him and then put it away and offered other books, he couldn't let it go.  Poor guy, needless to say that book is in hiding until he is ready for it haha.  But other books where the facial expressions are surprised/shocked he just starts crying.  Except for one he calls "the boo book" which is about a witch scaring 10 ghosts out of a house, he loves that one haha.  Either way he is a sensitive little guy!

And on a side note, Logan has learned how to blow bubbles in his milk while we are eating and he thinks it's hilarious ;)
