Boo Boos

You just had to sneak a trip to urgent care in before you turned one didn't you!  I'm sure, you being a boy and all, that this won't be our last trip there.  If you are anything like your dad, which we can already tell is a definite yes, then I'm sure you will be jumping and climbing on anything and everything.  This also means falling off of anything and everything.  Boo Boos, they happen.  And here's your noted first:  X men helmet is gone except for at night and you must think you have a superhero's indestructible powers because you were pulling yourself up to stand and just like that you fell like always but it didn't make the same sound as always, POP, cry, yikes!  that didn't sound good.  After eating and a long nap we had you down on the floor to play and when you tried to stand up you just fell over and started crying again.  Ok time for a trip to urgent care!  After a long wait and your first Xray, which you were not a fan of being held down for, we found out...nothing.  No signs of a break in your left leg, so we were supposed to wait and see how you do and take you to the pediatrician Tuesday.  When Tuesday finally came and the doctor looked you over you seemed to be doing better but not great still.  She tells us you probably have a strain or sprain and so you get motrin twice a day and you get to decide if you are ready to stand on your leg or not.  If by Thursday you are not back to normal we are supposed to call the orthopedic surgeon and make sure the Xray didn't miss any fractures.  So here we are, Thursday, you get better every day and will put some weight on your leg but prefer not to.  Go figure this is when you would learn to "crawl", good thing your left leg is the one you always dragged to scoot around anyways.  You are pretty fast at crawling now!  You have an appointment with the Orthopedist tomorrow and hopefully it will go ok.  Poor baby!

Daddy and you read Llama Llama Red Pajama, your favorite book,
about a million times at Urgent Care

You love balloons, so we couldn't resist getting you a Get Well Soon balloon!

On Labor Day we had friends over for a BBQ and you got to meet baby Luke, Joe and Sarah who came in town from Illinois.   Nick, Brenda, Aurora and Will, Laura and Stella were there too.  We had fun watching all the babies playing and having way too much to eat :)  You are lucky to have so many friends  around your age.  You weren't really in the best of moods though considering your leg was still hurting and it was your bedtime, you are such an early bird to bed!

The baby invasion!
 Daddy's and babies
 Mommies and babies
Trying to get a baby shot, which you wanted nothing to do with haha
Stella 12.5 mos, Luke 4 mos, Logan 11.5 mos, Aurora 7mos.
Aurora was concerned you were crying, she tried to make you feel better!

Granny and Grandpa come in town today and everyone will be here on Saturday for your party to celebrate your first birthday.  I can't believe how fast it came!  We are hoping you will be feeling better by then!
