We were busy over the Christmas break and had fun visiting with all our family and friends.
I know you just want to see the pictures sooo they will tell the story of how our Christmas went...
Christmas eve Logan joined us in the traditional watching of the Polar Express movie
checking out the tree and presents before Santa comes
Christmas morning, let's get down to business!
At first he wasn't sure about the unwrapping he just knew there was good stuff inside like Elmo, who he calls "Mo"
Later he would learn just how much fun the unwrapping really was
showing off his new shades
Christmas morning in our jammies
the aftermath!
Opening gifts from Granny once Ashley came over, Logan was excited about his motorcycle!
realizing that he can't lift the present and now he knows just what fun is hiding inside ;)
after presents we make our Christmas hors douerves
Ashley and Logan watching...Jurassic Park, totally kid friendly right ;)
The day after Christmas we headed to Phoenix for some time at the Maes'. Logan had lots of presents to open, he was especially excited about his new car!
We went to visit Andrea, Kevin and their kids Lucy and Mary Elise, we had so much fun!
We spent a day at the Phoenix zoo and got to get up close to this orangutan, Logan even gave him a kiss ;)
Checking out this giant bird!
I think he loves the zoo as much as I do!
the Maes clan
trying out to be the new crocodile hunter ;)
petting the goats
Logan is obsessed with anything with wheels and loves to drive them too!
Long day at the zoo led to a long nap after...for Logan AND mommy yay!
Venturing on our New Years day hike
once he had a stick he was ready!
taking the "stairs" was his favorite part
gosh he's cute!
taking the short cut back to the car on daddys shoulders
Happy 2012!
Some things you can't see through the pictures are how much heavier Logan is, growth spurt- hello! He is making me wish I had more time to lift weights ;) He has figured out the game of holding mommy and daddy's hands while he walks in the middle and if he stops walking, wooosh he swings in the air! He learned the technique of slinging webs like spiderman, he sticks out his hand at you and says "ksssss", haha what else can we teach this kid! He can also tell you a lion says "grrrrr"(which he growls), a duck says "kwakwa", occasionally he will comply when you ask what a dog says "ba bak" (bark bark). His vocabulary is exploding again, there were so many new sounds and words going on I'm not sure I can even remember them all. He is really good at communicating what he wants through signs, sounds, words, body language and if all else fails crying. It's so nice knowing what he wants and how he feels. He is becoming really good at shaking his head "no" too...which is sometimes helpful and sometimes not what I want to hear haha. This 15th month has shown the most progress I think in him mentally and physically, he's not a baby anymore! Sniff Sniff*
Here is some cute video from our break, enjoy :)
