Some assembly required

Now that we know it is a boy, we have started to figure out all the big baby items for Logan and his room. Many thanks to my parents who gave us babiesRus giftcards to buy the crib with! Although after realizing the original crib we wanted was a 'special order' one because it was white and would take 20 weeks to arrive, we decided to get one we liked at Target instead and save the babiesRus giftcards for the mattress, bedding and stroller we liked. Sounds easy enough right, well once we go to buy it all at babiesRus we find out during checkout that somehow, unknown to all of us, one of the giftcards had only $30 on it when it was supposed to have $250... that's a big difference to spontaneously go missing! Good thing we had the reciept for the gift cards saying they should have the correct amount on them and after some talking it out on the phone, we were sent a replacement gift card for the full amount, hurray! So with that minor disaster averted, we bought some cute stuff and started our registries and realized just how much stuff we don't know about and are not sure what all we need, but it was fun!
Here is the process of putting the crib together, it only took Dom about 40 minutes, good job!

is this a crib or a jail...

the dogs looked so sad and pathetic peeking in from the hallway

this goes where?

I think LeeLu hoped this was her future bed

working the puppy eyes for all it's worth, I think she knows what is going to be put in the crib eventually!

Nice work Dom!

We really liked these cute forest creatures on the bedding, we feel like the fox is LeeLu, the bear is Maya and the raccoon is Priya, they are all represented! I look forward to making some cute projects with these little animals to help the summer go by faster!

Next adventure was putting the stroller together, I think this one was a little harder to figure out then the crib even though it probably didn't take Dom as long as the crib. There are so many levers and buttons to figure out! This is a stroller that you snap the carrier in and then take it out and it snaps into the car seat base, we definitely needed the lightest stroller like this that we could find considering I will be doing a lot of lifting! The carseat/carrier is 9lbs (which feels kind of heavy already haha) and with it in the stroller the total weight is 18lbs I think, it's not too bad and I think it will get easier.
hmmm I think I should read the directions!

I think Dom is contemplating putting snazzy BMW rims on these babies haha

Tada! A little bulky, but still compact

It was fun getting to put all the stuff together and getting the nursery ready, the vision is coming along, we look forward to working on it and getting everything ready!
