In case you don't know Monty the chinchilla here is his mugshot (I can't get it smaller for some reason)
Monty the chinchilla lives in his cage in the office/future baby room and has been keeping that room all to himself for awhile now since the dogs and cat only see him as a snack. We have been trying to find him a new home with no luck yet (so if you know anybody who wants a Chinchilla, as a PET, let me know!) and maybe he finally figured out he was going to be moving in the future because sometime when we were gone on our cabin getaway this weekend with our friends Mr. Monty decided to escape from the top level of his cage, I guess the door wasn't latched all the way or he learned how to open it, and had his own little vacation in the wide open spaces of his room. When I walked in there today for something out of the closet and realized that some things on the floor had been moved, I looked at Monty's cage and didn't see him. I was thinking he must be in his little tube I bought him and then all of a sudden I notice a little head poke out from under a chest. The next 10 or so minutes I was luring him with food and trying to stick him in his carrying case so I could put him back in his cage. Luckily he can not fit under the door or else the dogs and cat would have had too much fun this weekend at poor Monty's expense. He enjoyed himself and his short lived freedom as he chewed a few things of paper and relocated my bag of pipe cleaners not to mention crapped all over the place haha. I think he might have gotten the idea from the Chinchilli day commercial, I tried to put it on here but it wouldn't let me, so here is the link, enjoy
