Sitting on the couch reading my RealSimple (love it) magazine on Sunday afternoon (I know what a good day!) I get to the page about making over closets and mention to Dom how I like these pictures they have of turning closets into offices or libraries. Dom ingeniously points out that we have a hall closet and need a new place for our computer since it is currently keeping Monty and the future baby room company, so why don't we turn our closet into an office. What, we have a closet...we need an office...a new project?! something to do?!!! something new to decorate! Well what a great idea Dom, glad you can put two and two together for me...it would have taken me much longer to come to this idea. But wait that means we should just get a new computer if we are going all out right haha. Of course.
So the hunt begins. The expensive spur of the moment hunt begins. Our reasoning is as follows, A) We have each had our respective computers since junior year of college (oh no should I do the math for you, that's... 5 years, ahhh our youth is dwindling away) and we never ever really use my desktop in the office because it's full of crap that I have no idea how it got on there and generally only use Dom's laptop since it is in the kitchen/living room area. We really only use the computer for e-mail, surfing the web, FaceBook (shocking I know ;), and putting our pictures and videos on (what? we take a lot of pictures?!). B) Dom's is an ancient brick that we had to buy an external hard drive for because we were running out of space for our pictures. So we need more space especially considering if a baby comes soon there will be even more pictures...(I just blew your mind again didn't I!) C) Have you ever been on our computer and tried to use the internet, that should be reason enough to get a faster computer! D) Once said baby should arrive or at least be on the way all future computer buying purchases would be non-existent as saving money would be key.
That was good huh, I convinced you we need to go spend thousands of dollars on a new computer, even though we have two working ones...I am working on Amanda Maes level of convincing arguments right?! I should by now!
So the real question besides will Dom get electrocuted when adding the plug in to the closet is, are we a Mac or are we a PC? Dom is all about a Mac and we know how stubborn he is. I don't think I care as long as it does what I want. But being surrounded by a computer savvy family buying a Mac might just get us no more free tech support! You know these two right...
Well apparently people have different views on Mac vs. PC, this one will hit you hard
but this one goes for the Disney fans ;)
And this is the iMac Dom is so set on, it's huge.
So I guess we will see which way we lean, Priya doesn't care as long as she can lay on our hands while we are typing, like she is doing now! I will post pictures of how the office turns out. Now that we got the computer location figured out, who wants a chinchilla ;)
p.s. I tried to put a picture of the closet office from the magazine but my computer wouldn't let me, haha.

that was a moment from UP akin to "SQUIRREL!" and if you haven't seen the movie then you will not understand and shame on you, it's wonderful.
